Playa Bonita, Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic is a place that I would recommend to anyone who likes the Caribbean. There are many things to see and do within Las Terrenas, but one of my favorite activities there is going to Playa Bonita in Las Terrenas. Playa Bonita in Las Terrenas is one of my favorite beaches.

There’s no need to worry about the water being too cold or rough, because the water is always nice and warm. The sand is white, and clear enough that you can see your feet while walking on it! There are plenty of restaurants nearby if you get hungry, as well as bars where you can enjoy some drinks with friends. Overall, I highly recommend visiting this beach if you’re ever in Las Terrenas.

This route passes through La Vega, San Jose de Ocoa, Hato Mayor and Los Haitises National Park before reaching Las Terrenas at kilometer marker 11 on highway DR-2 (Guanabo). Pros & Cons of Playa Bonita in Las Terrenas

Pros:

  • The beach is beautiful, and the sand is soft. It’s not too hot, either.
  • There are plenty of locals who are willing to rent out their sun chairs and umbrellas for a small fee. This can save you money if you don’t want to pay for an expensive cabana or umbrella as well as all the food that comes with it! Just make sure they have enough space in their cabins before renting one out from them!
  • There are several restaurants within walking distance of Punta Bonita—just be careful when crossing the street! Be aware of moving vehicles and make sure there aren’t any cars coming from your direction before stepping off onto the road! If there isn’t anyone around then just take a quick look both ways before crossing over towards Playa Bonita (especially at night time when traffic slows down).
